Foam-Safe Kicker
Decided to finally get building on a foamy I bought years ago. Ordered some Zap medium-thick foam-safe CA since nearest LHS is 50 miles away. Just looked at the bottle (arrived today) and it says it must be used with a kicker. Yes, I know I should wait and order the "right stuff" but I'd like to get going on the build. Is there anything readily available that I could use instead? I'm used to breathing on regular CA to get it to go but not sure if that will work with this stuff. Any suggestions?

RE: Foam-Safe Kicker
I have found if you let it set for awhile it will eventually "kick". But for any instant bonds it needs kicker. BUT BE CAREFUL, if you use too much kicker it will disolve the foam ( assuming depron or an equivalent). I assume it is the heat buildup, maybe a chemical reaction. Regardless, the joint will be brittle and I have found break easily. I have stopped using ca to build foam. For depron I use Uhu, or rc 56. It may take a few minutes longer, but the joint remains flexible with no glue damage.
