Hi all,
I bought a Tornado V3 about 3 months ago TBM U.S.. How do I find out if my version is the new version or the old version 3?
Thanks!

Why is the canopy red when red not a main colour on the plane. I think this looks a little odd

The color scheme is the easiest way to find out. if its not the two color schemes above its the previous V3 not the new one. Also if you bought it from TBM it's the old V3 because we are the only ones shipping new ones at this time.

Ok I understand, and what are the differences technical and quality between version 3 new and old? The weight differences between version 1 and version 3 old is too large?

Well the big differences from the new V3 and the last one is weight it's almost 2.2 lb lighter also the build quality is much better. We fixed all the issues that customers had and complained about the fuel tank is bigger and comes with full hardware. Also we included carbon fiber control horns and better quality canopy. We also lowered the price $50

And the CG between v1 and old 3 is the same.
I'm asking these questions because I had a v1. and Now I'll build the old v3.
Thanks agai!

Has the section of the H-stab been changed???

I never understood why they used a flat bottom cambered section for the tail. They always need a shovelful of up elevator to trim.
What is the tail section of the BVM Bobcat (symmetrical I suspect) and is the new V3 Tornado the same? If not why not?

Everything on the plane fits perfect. The stabilizer is still flat bottom and that is because this stabilizes the airplane on landing very much. We tried a fully symmetrical airfoil but the stall Speed increased 7mph. The flat bottom design works very well. And you do not need a ton of up elevator if you set the elevator neutral point correctly which is flush with the top of the stabilizer not the bottom

Henry is absolutly correct everything fits perfect. I was very impressed with my kit when I open it. I went through everything and it is excellent. Quality is superb and they really did some QC to get it right like this.

I booked my rooms and ready for Florida Jets. A bunch of us are coming down to see Henry burn up the skies with the Tornado. Cuz he sure did put on a show last year. I also here that he has one of the new AD Super Scorpions with a K180G with a scale military scheme to enter into that new event they have this year.

I heard from one of his builders that they will be giving away tons of stuff and selling turbines and the New DX18's at crazy prices

Canopy still seems to be the same with the tell tale Chinese smoked finish.
Yellow or blue would still look much better in my view, and stops making it look so obvious "made in china".

Tank looks good

I agree. The canopy really detracts from the appearance of the plane. They should at least put the red canopy on the red/white version and the blue canopy on the blue/yellow version so that it looks like it belongs to the plane.

Xairflyer and Joe

Don't worry about it chaps as you know the original canopy is so thin it only last about a week, if you even get it fitted without breaking it. LOL

Actually the canopy that came with my 2 New V3 are not thin at all they seem very good quality.

Also Ipersonally like the canopy colors. If you look at the bob cat they have the same color scheme and they use a blue canopy on the red scheme as well. I bet the people complaining about the color dont even have a Tornado or ever purchased one so who cares what you think. If you dont like then dont buy it. I want to see you guys complain to BVM that you dont like his color schemes and that you want him to change it. Knowing how rude and arrogant he is I am sure he would tell you to
!@#$ off trust me. Ihave seen him pull people aside and tell them to put there airplane away because it looked like crap.
