Turbine choice
Hi guys I need a little help to choose the right choice for turbine. This winter I am building a ultra lightning and a FEJ Hawk. I have a Kingtech 170 and a new 180. Should I put the 180 in the ultra lightning or Hawk.
Thanks Peter Woo

I'm building the FEJ hawk as well and plan on putting the K-180 in it. Though I'm sure the K-170 would fly it well. Just that I fly from grass and would like that extra push.

Thanks for the reply . I was thinking the same thing. As for flying on grass ... should not be a problem because we have a guy at our field with a Tomahawk Hawk and it only has a jetcat 160 in it , the wheels are so big there is no problem.. Thanks for the input guys. 170 in the Hawk and 180 in the Ultra lightning.

RE: Turbine choice
If you have the fiberglass hawk do the opposite of everyone else and put the 180 in the hawk, if its the new honey comb hawk than the 170 in the hawk is fine.
the old hawk is 10-11 lbs heavier than the new hawk fully fueled so it can use the bigger motor.
UL flies best light, so with 2 tanks and no cockpit/pilot you can get it at 37 dry and 45 fueled. The old fiberglass hawk is 54 lbs fueled.

Hi Disco.... The Hawk is the new Honeycomb plane . I pulled the trigger soon after Ali did the assembly thread on it. It only took three weeks to get it from Taiwan to Toronto Canada. I had to choose from what they had in stock ... I know it would be much longer if they had to build me one.

Hey Sean ... Happy New Year .. How is the Sabre coming along? The Ultra Lightning is going to be an aluminum coloured Canadian F5 Freedom Fighter.. I think I sent a picture of the fuselage painted. I am doing the panel lines and markings now . I should have it done next week. The Hawk unfortunately is not a scale scheme but still kind of cool. It is the Ferrari scheme exactly like Ali's FEJ on their website. I have to say for the price it was not really to bad.
