In the process of hand drawing out my tunnel hull plans, should be interesting how it turns out!

Interesting, Ya might make the tunnel sides 90 degrees to the tunnel floor.
Jerry D. is your go to guy for design specs,

Slidebleus,
I did notice on most all tunnels that the sides are 90 degrees, thanks for the info i really should have taken note on that before.

No problem Dude,
Keep all the edges sharp so the water will shear off.
Good luck with your design,
Gene

Another good thing your bulkheads resemble Jerry's HS Sprint, a already proven design.
Only yours would be three inches longer at 27.
Gene

Added pic:
Angle of the sponson bottom sheeting (deadrise) 12 to 14 degrees,
Stay close to the dims and you should be fine.

I didn't mean to do that, so the size or length I mean should be shorter maybe? Like how much shorter??

27 is fine, With the current outboards .21 tunnelhull class are 28 to 30" long.
Gene

The HS Sprint is a little short at 24" by todays standards......

Neat project! Yes, 24" is too short for the new faster motors. I think my Vision is 29", but I would have to double check.

The O.S. 21 is a better engine - it holds all the 21 tunnel class records.

But, some guys still run K&Bs. Just not the guys winning national championships.

Watch the online hobby stores like Towers. They go on sale from time to time. My brother picked up a new air cooled from Towers for $329 about a month before Christmas. Add a coupon and it gets cheaper. Just have to plan it right....

Ya might be better served goin with the TS3.
Reason is depending on the production run some VS1's had voids in the seams.
Where the transom joins the center section and sponson sheeting.
JD has a neat check if you have a suspect seam, Just run some thin CA along the seam.
If it wicks in ya got a void, If it rolls along ya dont.

Dont get me wrong Im a nut for that boat on my third right now, Just fair warning.
TS3 is purdy much plug and play just follow the instructions, Tower has sales on them all the time,
Gene

Slideblues, I might end up getting the VS1 because of how it looks and how i believe it will perform.. The TS3 would be great to because of the readiness of it like you said. I want to hurry up and get one while the weather is good here in Cali.
Regards Josh

Gene

Jerry came up wth a way cool design for the 7.5 class,
WOF construction shaped like a TS3 on steroids........
