RE: NEW!!!! Great Planes Cirrus SR22 46!!!!!
Same GarySS: Hope this beauty is equipped with a well designed nose gear. I'm flying her sister: the Cirrus SR22 from Great Planes, but the electric: excellent scale flying capabilities, but problems in every landindigs: Solved: re-bend it, almost vertical, or perpendicular to flor.
Do someone knows about price?

An announcement in one of the magazines stated $350. Looks great! I wonder how this would perform as an electric!

This Cirrus SR-22 looks like a nice scale model.
Just talked to Tower Hobbies. It won't be arriving until late June. Price will be $349.95
I'm still trying to decide if I want to wait to get the new Great Planes version, or get the new Hangar 9 version. The Hangar 9 version was released last week. It has a larger wingspan at (I think) 97 inches.

RE: NEW!!!! Great Planes Cirrus SR22 46!!!!!
Got mine today. Double-boxed and nicely packaged with no damage to the plane or parts. Let’s hear a big HURRAH for both Great Planes and UPS !
Did a parts count and everything seems to be there.
Fantastic paint job on the fiberglass fuse. And guess what ? The paint on the fiberglass cowl actually lines up with the paint on the fuse.....an ARF first for me.
The covering on both of the wings, and also on the horizontal stabs are very good which means I don’t need to spend a lot of time here.......just some minor touch-up ironing.
A nice big hatch is supplied which fits and aligns nicely to the fuse.
The wing attachment tube fits OK into the fuse and also fits nicely into both wings. The same for the horizontal stab tube.........nice fit.
Lights are already pre-installed into the cowl and the wingtips. The wiring for the wingtip lights is already routed through each wing.
The only thing I noticed that could need some improvement is the size of the wheels. I fly from grass so a bigger set of wheels is always a good idea for me. I’m hoping I can get a set of 2 1/2 inchers into those wheel pants to replace the supplied 2 inchers. You fellah’s flying from a hard surface should not have any problems.
So far she’s lookin’ good !

That's an old thread, but I need a 10th post
Here is my electric setup for SR22T:
- Dualsky ECO 4120C-V2 560kV
- Hobbywing FunFly 80A ESC
- APC 13x8E
- Zippy Compact 6S 4000mAh 60C
She flies well, except some "heavily" take-off behavior. I suppose, it's due to combination of motor+propeller at lower limit of recommendations and a overall weight at the upper limit from manual (3450g).
So, maybe lighter battery and bigger propeller would solve this problem.
