Funkymeter, Sorry you lost your plane. I have always thought you could have two flyers trying to hit each other and try all day long and not do it. Then you have two planes in the air and it happens accidently???

Your Razorback was outstanding. I am just finishing mine which is also converted to the Razorback and I think it is the neatest of all the Warbirds. My vote would be (did I have a vote?) that you build another Razorback as neat as the one you just lost. Maybe third time will be a charm and you will have an outstanding plane for years to come.

I am not a computer guy but I will get wifey to help me post a few pics of mine. I have recently become interested in Scale and my abilities are progressing with each plane. I used the earlier mentioned posts to convert to a Razorback with a Saito 100, had paint mixed to paint the cowl to match the plane, had nose art made in proper scale for the cowl, made flat black Rocket Tubes for each wing, received coaching from Ultimate2 on doing the indented panel lines and paint chips, used Dry Transfers for "Nomenclature" on the plane. I too used EFlite electric retracts for the mains, now thinking about going to a retract tailwheel next. Maybe?

I have a Hanger9 P40 and believe at this time there are no good electric rotating retracts available for it. I think you would have to go to air which I don't want to do. I am just waiting for some good electrics. So....build another Razorback!

Thanks Tom, you are right the odds were so against it. We just looked at each other and I asked, "did that really just happen"! I am leaning toward another p47, it really does fly great. Good luck with your build. The razorback version was built off of info on this thread the decals were from calliegraphics who did a really nice job. Look forward to seeing your work.

Hi all

Has anyone done a concealed battery switch setup on the jug? I was thinking of setting up one of the rear fuse vents to swing open as a door to access the switch.

Anyone tried something smarter?

[8D] I installed the switch inside the model, close to the battery floor. This way it is possible to keep more scale the exterior. To turn on-off simple open the battery hatch that is holded by magnets.
And speaking of hatches and magnets, I must to glue a couple more magnets, cause yesterday when I was flying with the 108 gal. belly paper tank for a long range mission..., probably by the enemy...; ( I forget to conect the drop servo ), the tank doesn´t dropped but the hatch bail out during a roll....[:@][:@][:@][:@]
