voltage
I was just reading a description of a Cherokee ARF in the Tower website. It requires an 11.1 volt and a 7.4 volt battery connected in series. Huh? Doesn't that produce 18.5 volts? In other words, they want a 2S and a 3S battery connected in series. Why not a 5S battery? What am I missing here? There has to be a reason for this. Am I thinking wrong?

RE: voltage
Depending upon where/how the 2 packs are configured , it may have been a weight thing. It is the same as a 5s pack.
I'd sooner bet that it was a lack of 5s packs when this combo was put together. It surely wasn't because of a dual input esc recommendation.

RE: voltage
Yes I would agree seems it was an availability problem with GP Packs as in no 5s batteries. Downloading the manual from tower shows the two batteries stacked the same as if you had used one 5 cell battery. Seems to just add another failure point with an unneeded connection.
