Life and On-board Glow ?
I have this brand new LiFe Tower 3200 Battery for my GeeBee, I also installed
a on-board Sullivan glow starter to the engine. and what I was wondering would
you think the power would drain to much OR how many flights maybe? If I just ran
the both power wires from the LiFe that is has? Vers. running a separate battery for
the On-Board Glow Starter? Hope this makes since.
The glow is set just at idle and for starting.
Was thinking I can reduce weight this way , but I do not want to destroy my plane
in the mean time by losing to much juice [8D]
Thanks for any info.

RE: Life and On-board Glow ?
Are you asking if you should/could run the receiver and on board glow from the same battery? I wouldn't. A short in the glow system could bring the whole thing down. As for the voltages does the glow have a regulator? Think they require 1.2v and receiver more like 4.8v.
All the best

RE: Life and On-board Glow ?
The glow starter is regulated and can be use with a battery from 1.2 volts TO 12 Volts.
The Life is a 3200 SIX volt battery with two wires for running stuff from it..
I dumped all my nicads and switched everything over the 6 Volt Life LOVE THEM. Less problems
but have never ran mutable things of of one yet.
Thanks,
Jeff

What I have now is a 6 volt 2700 Nimi to the starter but wanted to know if it would be a problem
or a future problem not using it. for the extra weight. I have no clue of the Sullivan Glow would
ever cause such a problem or not.
