Well I found another camera in the drawer, not as nice as the old one I had, but will do for now.
Finally finishd up the three cockpit brass parts. Now I can get back to working on my own stuff.

Insane... Simply beautifull. How many hours do you have in all the brass there?
Why don't you sell me one of those? How much will that cost me?

Today I managed to make up the patterns for the turtle deck and side plywood fairing. Also I made the foot skid area on the cockpit floor. I used corregated plastic which will be painted with aluminum.

Yes Gentlemen that is correct. I have a pile of Dr.1 books and this one is right at the top for detail shots. Very useful to the model builder!! I highly recommend it if you are a triplane person.
Thanks Guys

Doc they also have the D-7, same format.
Well I decided to re-inforce the tail area where the stab bolts down. Added a few triangle supports. Also started to get the servo's figured out. Location and how I will do it. Up forward as much as possible for the servo's weigh in at 1/2 a lb. a peice. I will run carbon fiber tubes all the way back to some bellcranks then cable out to the horns. These are Hitec 805 MG, @ 343 oz each, two on elevator one on rudder. I plan to put the batteries and reciever on the same location. Access will be thru the belly panel.

Abu
There will be a scale cable coming out of the proper location at the tail. A pull pull off a large bellcrank just inside the fuse. The long carbon tubes will be over 4 ft. long to get there from the front connected to those bellcranks.

RE: GTM 1/2 Scale Fokker Triplane
So while doing more research on my Fokker V. 11, I came across this web page.
http://www.fokkerdvii.com/pics/
I know that many of the WWI builders out ther may have already found it, but in case you missed it, it contains 3 pages of pictures. And not all DVII's, most are of the factoy and the building process. Some I have found in other places, many I had never seen before. But the one that caught my eye was this one. It showes a DRI tail skid with a control horn to be used for direction control. I never knew a tri plane had that. Learn something new everyday I guess. I also liked the one where the 2 guys were painting a DRI's wing.
I just looked at the DRI picture a bit closer. I do not think its a DRI. It lookes like it is a wooden frame. The web page must have the wrong label on the pic. Oh well, so much for my big discovery.[&o]

Hey Kirk looking good!!!
I picked up my wheels today. Aluminum black 16 inch rims 40.00 bucks each plus tires and tubes. 130.00 total. The white tires might not work, i started standing off the tread and did not come out as good as the tires I used on my 1/2 scale D-8. Might have to look for diffrent rubber. The rims are real nice. Now I have to get my axel made up.

Having finalized the servo mounts, I have now been working on the bellcrank area. I need to send away for my push rods nd servo connector ball links. I will be using carbon fiber rods with 6/32 ball ends. As you can see I have made my bellcranks from G-4 material. I most likely will also change the brass tubes holding the horns to carbon fiber. Still a lot of work in this area.
