Hey Art.... is that my Coleman gas lantern in front of your Nieuport?
And more importantly, are you using that 1/4 scale pilot to the left of it??????

yes and yes........but it is 1/3 not 1/4 scale.......that's my Nieuport pilot!

I had your lantern on the bench with all the boat stuff at the Christmas party - I guess me and birdman just didn't get it loaded.

I looked around and couldn't find anything else to glue together.........sssooooooooo, the fun begins!

S A N D I N G !

Don't forget your dush mask or respirator! As we age our bodies are not as tolerant as when we were young, so be smart and protect your lungs. Go outside when the weather permits.

It's 26 degrees here, so I am dirtying up the shop.......but before I cover it always gets cleaned.

The plane will be ready for the maiden around noon..... The temp is good.....52 degrees ...But 17 mph winds! [:-][:-][:-]
What do you think about this airplane and 17 mph?

What do I think? If the wind is steady and on the runway, it is probably doable....... you know, fly with contempt [>:]

But if it is one of those swirly wind kind of days that you often have down there - FORGET IT !

Here is the wisdom in this conversation, "A prudent modeler wouldn't fly his plane on a day like this - maybe if it were well tested - but certainly not a maiden flight!" [8D]

Like they say, "You pays your money and you takes your chances!"

But then again, who in the heck is THEY ?

Sooooo, tell me Paul, just wat cha' gonna do?

With no wing tips on yet the givaway is the lack of wing tube hole in the ribs, thus outer ends.

Hey Clink,
There was some doubts about flying on Monday.......
Being a maiden flight on a day that had 17 mph winds and gusting into the twentys............
BUT (you know there is always a But) since Larry and Art came down to the field that day............they put incredible pressure on me to fly..........LOL LOL .......no...that wasnt true....
Pretty much if the new DA engine started that day...it was going to go![X(][X(]

It flew and only had a minor mishap on landing, I have several adjustments to make and re-fly it on This Sunday.........
We will get the information we need this Sunday to finish making final adjustments.......

Remember this............Billy...God loves you...
