RE: Phoenix 6 - Start # 2
Thanks for the nice comments. Mega rain out right now, I paint outside, have to do some touchup, wet sand, ready for clear coat, you guys know the drill. Airframe is hardware ready. Going to do pull-pull on rudder, mount air tank behind servo tray to top of fuse. No BS Batteries, made up a 3/2 six volt pack for me, will fit perfect into the canopy area inside, to top.

RE: Phoenix 6 - Start # 2
I made a separate post to resurrect a P-8. Was going to start on a P-7 while getting the 26% Pilot Yak together. The P-8 came from Bob Cox in Miami, I had it once, we did some kind of trade, then he gave it back. It is old, but solid and straight. I was in the attic looking at some kits, and it was staring me in the face. I had two P-8's, let them both go, this one just needs some TLC. The wing was Mono-koted, no glass. I will get the wing stripped, glass it. Stab had been re-done with filler, at the joints fuse to stab, need to get that fixed up, glass the stab and all control surfaces. The P-8 nose is a little stretched, so the NG will not recess into the wing.

Work in Progress. Two more full days here, I am slow, but deliberate in the rigging process. Spring Airs, used, you can see the NG modified a little for clearance. I have some gold anodized paint, was going to match up with the gear frame, got lazy on that, still works fine. A small board piece with grommet, will exit air tubes and aileron leads, L&R, it will mount in front of servo board. The NG air line brought out the front space, this is the tank floor, did not want to have the tubing in the tank area. A large Robart air tank is on board, behind the servo board. I was going to use phonelic board here, but last thought, more sourcing, the ply is fine. I have established some meat under the servo screws, so they are not just on the 1/8"ply. More later, should get this bird finished, take some pictures by the pool, if we get some sunshine. Set up for Sullivan R-12. The spinner on the picture here, looks like it is not fit correct. It is, I just slid it on, a little hanging crooked there, when bolted up, all even, and very close to the nose.
One more picture, P-6 #1. I am going to do two more P-8's. One I am resurrecting, a thread started on it already, and the other one, all brand new, start from scratch. That may be it on glass and foam birds, going to build something out of wood after that.

This should be last post before final, and finish. First picture, little fuzzy. This is a brass tube, which is 36" long. I insert it from the servo bay area, back to the pushrod exits. This will be cross set up. After tube in, then the coated stranded wire pushed thru, easy exit to back, pull the tubinh out, line is there for hookup. Repeat other side. No other support straight run. Smaller planes you can do that. Picture of Rocket City 440 horns at back, just run thru after measure, to make sure 180. Last picture, ideas for the two P-8's, Kato paint jobs.

Out of the shop. Time to clean up, put the P-8 on the board, get it glassed, primered. Another P-8 right behind it, I am going to start on the #2 fuselage before #1 P-8 is finished. This may be a long haul, more irons in the fire. Pictures of P-6 #1 attached.
