I have not ever done it. But I know that you would for sure at least need a chasis extension, and a big block mount. Other than that I can be of much help to you. Good luck

i put an 18tm os engine on mine 7 yrs ago & it still wheelstands on finger twitch. besides too much on tranny , they handle it for a while till a diff pops or gearbox strips gears n inputshafts which the 18 does. Yep still hammers along & it could do with an extended chassis with this engine so definitely you'd have to do that. Plus it'll lose handling with a huge bb in it. Check how quick .12 tc are, 18's are quick in the t-maxx i tell no lies.

heres my maxx with an lrp .32 i picked up. installed smoothy in a couple hours, youd need a dremel if you dont have a custom big block chassis which as you can see i dont.

I had a .21 O.S. Engine on my Tmaxx back in 08-09. I happened to find a big block kit for it and bolted it in. And big block mounts should work. You'll just have to drill some holes and fit it where it needs to go.

Dynamite has/had a big block conversion kit. The part number for the kit without the engine is/was: DYN7402. Note, that part number is for the 2.5 Maxx. Now, I haven't owned a Tmaxx in years, so I wouldn't be able to verify if there are any issues using this with the 3.3 maxx.
Here's a manual to give you some sort of idea of what to expect. Again, this is for the 2.5 tmaxx, but just a reference: http://www.dynamiterc.com/ProdInfo/F...400-manual.pdf
