I was trying to get the most smoke for the least amount of fluid. I can try cranking it up next week.

Tam,
PM is about your turbine waiver- the AMATurbine Waiver database has you living in Lancaster, PA instead of CA. Unless you have moved to PA, contact Ilona Maine, AMAHQ at 1-800-435-9262, ext 254 to fix this error.
Also, note that the Plum Island Jet Rally on June 14-16, 2013is havinga "Smoke Off" competition. Many N. England pilots will probably be buying your smoke system for this event.

Tam, I've been using 2 of the old style sticks like you told me I should. Are 2 needed with this new "J" style stick?

New stick one is enough. Two get much more.
For open engine two will do better.

Do a little more homework prior to making accusations. There are two Tam Nguyens.

This thread has nothing to do with "waiver checking" and your "smoke off" competition.

I was tolding Russ do some mix with the throttle.
Increase the flow at full throttle and reduce the flow rate at low throttle.
Our smoke pump and most other smoke pump had speed control built in.
This also stress your smoke time.

AB1,
I checked AMA's roster of turbine waiver holders and there is NO record for Tam Nguyen in the state of CA. This roster is: as of Feb 8, 2013.
My Post # 70 on this thread requested Tam to PM me on this situation for correction. He chose to respond on Post # 74 questioning whether my post was about smoke or his waiver. My response, Post #78, notified him of the discrepancy and I also included a statement about a "Smoke Off" at thePlum IslandJet Rally to promote Tam's smoke system and keep the thread on subject. You chose to attack me stating that I should do more homework before posting on RCU. Well, I did due diligence on my original post and got knocked down for it. Velly solly 'bout that. Mr. AB1.

Why are you in Tam's business? Do you have a personel beef with him? Do you go around checking every RCU member's turbine waiver status? AB1 was justified in countering your accusations because it was not relevant to this thread.

I think I may have to put one of these in my FLASH OLA....Already has "SICK" smoke, but more smoke is better with less consumption....

DubD,
As a turbine CD, I frequently check the AMA Turbine Waiver roster to verify turbine holders that may attend my AMA-sanctioned jet events. Since PAis nearby, with several PA pilots attending, I was surprised to see Tam's record listed in Lancaster, PA instead of CA. I simply wished to notify him to avert any possible embarassing situations on his attendance at sanctioned jet events. I have NO personal beef with Tam and use his products and tailpipes in many of my turbine jets. He also contributes to my events and I have thanked him personally on many occassions. His smoke system developments are very interesting and were mentioned to remain on this subject thread.
AB1 should have done HIShomework before accusing me of neglecting mine. I was only trying to help and got jumped upon by 2 Left Coast jet pilots. Itrust that your attitudes are not indicative of all CA jet pilots. We're supposed to be united and congenial to one another. It's just a hobby-for most of us anyway!

Art, I'm not jumping on you. However, your posts came across as if you were trying to call Tam out or embarrass him. What we type has a higher chance of being misread than the spoken word. Apparently I misread the intent of your post.

Totally agree with dubd. Doesn't belong here and best handled in private messages.

Your origional post has absolutely nothing to do with this "smoke system/ smoke stick" thread.. You should have contacted Tam via a phone or pm concerning his waiver holding status... Perhaps you should be reported to RCU's moderators for privacy violations.... Why would you be checking up on people?

None of your business. Don't be a Mrs Kravitz ......

Tam,
What is the best smoke fluid recommended for your "smoke system/smoke stck."? Is thisquestionenough to stay on the subject ?

dubD,
Your explanation is respectfully accepted. We are all human and sometimes misinterpret of what we read on this forum. Cheers!

AB1,
No further side discussion is warranted. Have a great day and Happy Landings.

Buy the saddle tanks from CARF and then use the wing tank for smoke. Works very well.

Happy Flying,
