Slow Stick X Bush Plane!
Just got done with my first kit build. I decided to add a gopro to my SSX build and some tundra tires for some off runway flying. It's time to go bush flying!

That looks sweet.
What brand of covering did you use?
What is your all up weight?
Wouldn't you call those swamp tires in Florida?
Please let me know how she flies I would like to put one of those kits together.
Thanks

RE: Slow Stick X Bush Plane!
Thanks subz. I used the green transparent covering by bp hobbies called solite for the wing and stabs. The ailerons, rudder and elevator were covered with ultracote black carbon fiber. The tires are German foam from multiplex. The camera is a go pro hero 3 silver edition with a custom mount I made. Here are the other specs for different components I used:
radio: Futaba 7C 2.4ghz
servos: 3 HS-55 Feather by Hitec, 1 HS-65 HB Mighty Feather by Hitec (used for elevator)
motor: SII-2215-1127KV by Scorpion
speed controller: Phoenix Brushless Controller 25, 18V max, by Castle
prop: 10x4.7 Composite Slo-Flyer by APC
receiver: Futaba Fasst R617FS 2.4ghz
battery: 1500 maH 3S Lipo
The total weight wound up being 36 ounces
Haha, yeah super swampers would be more accurate down here!
It was a lot of fun to build, especially for my first build. I found the owner of millennium RC (maker of the kit) on a forum on RC groups. I pm'd him to ask an installation question. Not only did he give me my answer but he included his cell phone number and answered multiple other questions I had along the way during the build through text messaging. Great company in my opinion and I've seen other people fly this plane ripping up the sky and I've also seen people fly it just as slow as can be. It really flies nice and should make a stable platform for my pics. I plan on posting a video and some pics of the maiden in the next week!
