Flap Problem

RE: Flap Problem
Fellows,
I do not understand any reluctance to just turn around one of the flap servos.
Doing so and being I assume under the wings is not really an eye sore.
It assures identical servos receiving identical command and once setup for the same maximum travel then we can expect very similar positioning at intermediate positions if the flaps are commanded proportionally.
Who knows what happens to the similarity of servo rotation with intermediate devices such as a servo reversing gadget. Of course it would make no difference if the flaps are only either retracted or fully extended to identical angles.
I must say that I found this thead quite interesting to read.

RE: Flap Problem
I have no reluctance to turning a servo around, but I guess I don't understand what you are saying. They are now mounted so that the output arm or wheel is closer to the leading edge. If you mean turning it around so that the output arm is closer to the trailing edge, that wouldn't make any difference in the final movement of the flap. As I mentioned earlier, I could flip the servo arm to the other side of the servo, but then I would have three pointing one way and one pointing the other way. I don't want to do that.

RE: Flap Problem
I've used Futaba servo reversers with no problem at all. Also have an Ultra Stick 40 with what they call quad flaps: full-span ailerons, outboard ailerons, spoilers, and crow all handled through radio programming. Flipping the servo will induce a small difference in throws, may or may not be discernible.

By turning around I meant what you do not want to do for whatever reason.
