RE: Who said that slope soaring was boring?
Dude! Respectfully, I love gliding (full scale and RC). I am willing to promote it in any best known way. But it looks like you're after something else posting on every possible forum many times over and now starting a new thread?
Just wonder why.
BTW I love your dog - looks like he's having greatest time with you!
Cheers,
Mark.

RE: Who said that slope soaring was boring?
Thank you for the congrats
Good questions for the multiposting: let's say that someone convinced me to promote my videos that way (like others do, in fact)

RE: Who said that slope soaring was boring?
I've missed the multi-posting ... but he's not posted on my forum & he's more than welcome, ... some very nice video's ... shame about the music.
Over here in the UK I'm about 60 miles from a brilliant slope... The Great Orme in N Wales ... The Power Scale Soaring Association (PSSA) have meetings there. [link]https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=great+orme&hl=en&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=5Yo3Uea3L8Gb0QW2w4DwCA&sqi=2&ved=0CE4QsAQ&biw=1024&bih=580[/link]
I was introduced to slope soaring there ... straight in with combat! ..... I've loved it ever since.
I'd love to post some pic's but I'm not sure about the rules here regarding posting links to other forums.
I know I should read the rules again, but I'm a member of several, moderated a few, & own one ... It's hard to keep track.
Can a moderator remind me please? ..... we adopt the policy that another forum doesn't mean you lose members, it just means that modellers have more entertainment. ..... I'm starting to get addicted to this place, even uploaded my avatar after being a member for 5 years! ..... They'll be sending out a search party soon.
Pol.

RE: Who said that slope soaring was boring?
I don't know if any multi postings have been deleted or not already but THIS thread is certainly in the right place.
Mustang jmz, your videos are masterfully put together. I love the cut scenes from inflight to ground and back showing the same moments from different aspects. And your timing and eye for catching the more dynamic moments is spot on.
I only ever went slope soaring once. But it was a highly memorable event with massive skies, lots of wind that was mostly going up and breath taking scenery all around. I wish I could do more of it but where I live now has our hill tops covered in trees. That darned rain forest climate ya know...
I'm going to pass on the links for those videos to some friends that don't fly or that think I'm playing with "toys" and see what they say....

RE: Who said that slope soaring was boring?
Flying my vintage 2,6 meter Graupner Foka on a 5 meter (15 feet) high coast slope.
Wind 7 M/sek, (14 knots)
Even a very small slope is fun..
