Default Warbirds Over Texas 2013

We are quickly headed in to the 2013 warbird event season. We are very excited to announce the 3rd annual WARBIRDS OVER TEXAS event JUNE 14,15 and 16 2013. Last year was built on the success of our first event. We hope this year will be even better.

Please stop by the event website and check it out.

Terry,

Excellent! The dates are locked in, when will registration open? BTW, we maidened the P-39 yesterday. Need to upgrade the nose gear stearing servo with a little more grunt, but other than that she's a keeper.

A BIG thank you to Ed, Terry, supportstaffand all of the North Dallas RC Club for hosting this year's Warbirds Over Texas! The event was a huge success and had so many awesome aircraft there. I got to meet a lot of nice people and had a great time flying! Kudos to everyone who worked hard to make it such a quality event.

My very best to you all!

Please consider coming to Lubbock for the sixth annual West Texas Warbirds over Labor Day Weekend, August 30-Sept 1, 2013.

Let me second the big thank you to Ed Kettler, Terry Farmer and all the hard working guys at the North Dallas R/C Club for putting on a excellent, well run, fun and world class warbird fly in.

Was able to be there for most of Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. Got to fly a lot and had a blast! I especially appreciate that the event is very electric friendly.

My only casualty of the entire weekend was an electric speed control in my venerable Skyraider....

Next year I will have to get there earlier in the week or beg the club to run extension cords all the way down the pit areas....

Bryan,

Glad you could make it, just sorry we didn't get any VAL formation flying done. Next time for sure.

Hey everyone, it was a pleasure meeting several of y'all, the RCH crew had a blast out there this past weekend and can't wait to do it again. It was a pleasure meeting some of the Monroe boys back at the hotel and hanging out at the pool, hope to see y'all again!

I have been to several events around the midwest, both large and small, and I can say for certain that Terry and Ed are setting a new standard.

Excellent atmosphere (very relaxed), awesome attendance (tons of spectators, too), incredible models, terrific food, remarkable support from sponsors and vendors, outstanding facilities and ample opportunity to fly!!

My only regret was that I did not arrive earlier on Friday and stay the whole day on Saturday.

I was also especially happy to get to meet some guys whose models, craftsmanship and piloting skills I have admired (through RCU and RSCB) for a long time. It's was pretty cool to watch Dino on the sticks, too. Very impressive all around.

Great job Terry and Ed!

Can't wait until next year's event (hopefully a little cooler next year).

Great job. A huge pat on the back.

I really couldn't tell you what to change. I really liked the added cow and donkey. What a nice touch. Must have been hard to get them to moo, and yee hah on command.

Great job and it is on the calendar for next year.

Anytime your on in the Houston area, Johnson Space Center, check us out.

It was great to see all of you last weekend, and we thank you very much for coming and enjoying our event. Our goal is to make WoT a fun place to fly, a venue for great pilots and outstanding aircraft, one that you want to come back to every year because we make it better all the time. Thank you again for the kind words ... it means we achieved our goal!

The North Dallas RC Club is the proud host site for this event, and the club membership unanimously approved sanctioning Warbirds Over Texas 2014 for June 13-15, 2014. I put the registration in last night, so preparation for next year has already begun!. I want to give a big shout out to the club members who make everything happen. Charles Shafer does an excellent job organizing these great people, who are the unsung heroes of the operations.Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Please put WoT 2014 in your calendar for June 13-15, 2014. See you there, and bring a few friends ... We have plenty of room!

The noon show was the Cavanaugh Flight Museum's OH-13 Sioux "Mash" helicopter, the parade of planes, then two flights by Dave Schaeffer's rocket powered Me-163 Komet.

Thanks to Dave and team for a great event!
