Don't stop there, I want to see more. I just picked up an old air frame, need work but it is sound. I am looking for more information about the plane. Where is the CG supposed to be?

My CG is set around 5 inches back from the leading edge. Since my engine is a little larger than the plane was originally designed for, I needed to add some lead to the tail to get it to balance. I also added a set of wheels and tires for the H9 1/3 scale piper pawnee to give the prop a little more ground clearance.
I was able to get 6 flights on my sweet & low before winter and it flies great. I'm sure you're going to love the plane, what engine are you planning to use?

I have a G38 that I pulled from my Prime Cut so I can restore the plane. I think it will be a good fit until the Prime Cut is back together. I will probably use the landing gear for the Prime Cut also since the Sweet & Low airframe did not have any. The fire wall alreay has holes drilled for the G38 bolt pattern.

I have a short kit from laser works, and plans I bought off ebay. I am going to start construction this week....I have a Quadra 35 that I got a couple years ago on ebay for 50 bucks. I am looking forward to having a large sport plane to play with, I get too nervous with scale planes...

I have a set of planes as well. Was thinking aboutbuying the one on E-Bay that AmishWarlord posted, but once it went over $200 it's not worth it.

It's pretty normal for the original Midwest kits to reach $300 on ebay.
If you're looking for a kit to build check out what these guys have to offer. They have some very nice looking kits but their price is still over the $300 mark.

The short kit was only about 120.00...not too bad. add the little bit of sheeting and some hardware you are at about 180.00...

That's what's nice about this hobby though. Your free to use $5 wire landing gear, $25 aluminum gear, or $180 Robostruts and Fultz Universial mounts.

Why yes a old GSNLS kit is absolutly worth $375.00 plus shipping. Really it's an ulgly stick, not like you can easly make one from plans with that box fusalage and those eight ribs.

The Space Walker is a scale model of a real airplane, with all those crurves, and that 104" wing span. So much more work involved makeing one of those. How could it not sell for less than half of what the GSNLS sold for?

The only thing I can come up with is nostalgia. There was a time when there weren't many big models. Alot of these were out at the RC field. Some one figured they just had to have it....the kids are grown up and out of the house.... 'cause it's what I used to have 25-30 yrs. ago... who knows,,,? Me..? I like how they fly ...I don't always like flying the scale stuff. This is like having a "beater" car...just fire it up and go, a big aerobatic plane that still flies like a trainer.

I built one from Midwest plans. Back in the 80's this was one of the largest aircraft seen anywhere. Today it looks just about average size. I took some liberties with the plans and changed the tail section to look more conventional and added flaps so I could program in the CROW effect. I move the wing servos out in the wing, the plans had torque rods, and I put the other servos in the tail like most modern aircraft to help with balance. The landing gear is a hand-me-down from a 50cc size Edge and the wheels are a little big, but I think it looks pretty good.
I have a g62 on mine and With this engine it weighs in at a hefty 20 pounds dry but with around 1800 sq. in. of wing area, It flies great. The crow is fun to play with and makes landings so easy. From altitude I can point it strait down with engine at idle. About 30 ft above runway, level off and land in about 30 ft. It is like having a parachute tied to the tail.
