Torqmaster Starter Brushes- Any ideas?
I have one of the Hobbico Torqmaster 180 starters and one of the brushes split and is obviously not working now since the lead wire is no longer attached. I am wondering if anyone knows of a replacement for this, as I have looked all over the websites and can't find anything for parts for this starter.
Thanks!
Dave

Without a man. part number it will be tough,, Bob has a good idea,, a Tool repair place might be able to find (match up) the right size too.
Have you called or emailed "hobby services"
http://www.hobbyservices.com/index.html
They might send you the parts or at least have a part number
good luck

You should replace both brushes. You can use larger brushes and grind/file them down to size. See if you can find a Bright Boy eraser to clean the armature with. Don't use emery cloth unless you have to in cleaning the armature.

Yeah, I plan on checking the hardware tonight. I also found a place online that stocks many different brushes (http://store.eurtonelectric.com/alternatorbrushes.aspx). I will measure and see if I can fine one.
Thanks All!
