Concern about batteries
During few years I have let the batteries placed in my Pershings and Shermans, just with a connector under the driver hatch to change the battery. You know for placing a battery in the Tamy Pershing you have to dissasemble half model.
I use NiMH batteries and was wondering how much risk I’m taking with this behavior. I mean I have experience about electrics and batteries but haven’t tested this for long terms.
Did anybody have problems, like fire or something that could be really dangerous, I’m not worry a DMD burnt just because a FET blowup, but a fire could be something serious.
I will appreciate your comments

RE: Concern about batteries
For about 60 years I have charged battery's in my airplanes. No lipos but others at 90% and have never had a problem. Now I use NIMH and charge a 5000 ma pack at 2.5 amp. Been doing this about 6 years. Use a aircraft charging system and never unplug a battery.
