Alex,

Very nice, is that a decal?

A small favour; could you perhaps post some photo's showing the fuselage without all the hatches. I have not been able to work out what openings one have to work with so to speak. It looks to me like you may have one big hatch covering the cockpit all the way to the turbine. Does one have to fit the cockpit into the fuselage or can you fit it to the canopy hatch and then install it at the same time as the hatch? Does the canopy open?

Thanks,

Jan

Hi Jan

The HUD is electronic and is animated so its constantly moving, its a decent brightness too. I got it from Voytech who's service was excellent. Try this link for a video...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKomR...layer_embedded

Access isn't an issue with this model, The canopy hatch is huge however the turbine hatch is small but then the back end is designed to come off making installation really easy at the hot end. The cockpit has to be installed into the model as there isn't really any other way of doing it. Have a look at the previous posts as this shows the cockpit install. This model has a fixed canopy i.e it doesn't open in a scale manner instead its the usual large hatch.

Hope this helps

Cheers

No problem. Glad you are pleased with it. His decals (DACO) are a wealth of info too.

Visited Big G last night to do an independant on his 104 prior to flight test (soon, we hope!).

As expected, no probs found - we worked a couple of small items - but I have to say that (in those immortal words of Ian Bailey) trouser activity was very evident when we had it all together in G's living room...he has a big living room! Very impressive model, well thought out and well engineered. Looking fwd to seeing the Big Man fly this one!

Cheers,

Dick

Geoff was concerned because the disc brakes on the 104 are so effective that, with full pressure applied, the wheels lock solid. This is not a good situation to have for tyre wear / effective braking, so I suggested that the brake disc assembly be re-configured so that just one friction pad comes into contact with one rotating disc plate (rather than the two that the normal 'sandwich' assembly allows), thereby reducing the effectiveness of the brakes slightly to prevent a lock-up but still give max braking.

Hope that makes sense!

Cheers,

Dick

You could try the BVM Smooth-stop first. I don't have the problem with my A10.

Could do, but won't as they always seem to leak.

Well funny you should say that. Once I have flown the model and confirmed it's a keeper, I want to do a few jobs on it of which trying electric brakes is potentially one.

Geoff.

Nice job Alex. Btw, you may have to rename your business....not sure you can still call it "little" jet company with builds like this.
