Nelitz 1/3 Cub help needed
I have a complete Bob Nelitz Cub that I recently purchased and it is missing the attachment bolts or pins that connect the wing spars to the fuselage. It appears the main spar is pinned in the steel roll cage fitting with a 4-40 bolt and the rear spar is attaced with a 2-56 bolt. I am wondering if anyone has the plans showing what Bob intended for these pins?
I can just put bolts in them but I am wondering if there were some special threaded pins incorporated in the original design. The front bolts are hard to get to inside the cabin so some type of thumb screw would be easier than working with tools to tighten the bolts.
The rear spar is especially problematic as it needs something about two inches long to reach up from the bottom of the wing, through the fittings and out the top of the spar. A threaded rod with knurled nob on the end comes to mind.
Anyway if anyone has the plans and could post pictures of these areas of the plans I would much appreciate it.
