RE: Bowman Rings
Frank Bowman makes extremely high quality piston rings for just about any model engine but they are especially beneficial when replacing stock engines on most chineese gas engines.
If he doesn't have what you need, you send him the piston and jug and he creates the ring and you get a ring or set for free so he can stock them for future orders.

I received a letter from his wife, stating that he has some health problems and is now taking a short break. She said he will be back asap. Good luck, red

I toohad excellent service from Frank. His ring in my DLE35RA. I only have one tank full through the engine in a bench run (maybe 10 minutes), and I do believe the sealand compression arebetter than expected after only one run....
I hope he is back to good health soon. I've had my share of poor health in 2012 and early 2013 and it's no picnic

Let's give him a break and do not take up his time on the phone. He is too nice to tell you he is busy and does not have time to talk.
God bless you Frank .

The quality of his work is incredible! I installed one of his rings in a DLE 55, shot a little oil in the cylinder and hand-flipped the engine in my hand. The ring seated enough from that first few flips that it developed enough compression to pop like an ABC-type engine. Now mounted on a P-47 and test-run, it pulls like a mule. Incredible!
