control horn screws
Does anyone know where to buy small screws? I've checked Home Depot and Ace but they don't have anything small enough. The screws that came with my Phoenix Models 40 sized extra, for the elevator control horns, are too short (2mm x 16mm). The barely start to thread through the retainers and don't go all the way through. Need to find something along the lines of 2mm x 20mm to make them work, and don't really want to pay for shipping on such a small order if I don't have to. Any help would be appreciated.

Micro-Fasteners, RTL fasteners, etc. Great Planes and DuBro hardware also has these but are expensive. Any of the model related fastener companies have these. You also have a choice of phillips or socket head screws. I usually go to the socket head screws so I don't have to worry about the straight slot screwdriver slipping and going through a surface. Phillips works OK also.

Thanks for the help. Looks like I'll have to get something online, not even the local hobby shops carry screws that size.

Micro Fasteners is the place ..They have a fantastic supply of bulk nuts and bolts ,threaded rod ,knife blades , Servo screws , just about anything you could think of in the way of hard ware for our building needs and the more you buy the cheaper it gets..The way we do it is a few of us get together and put an order together to get the discount.. Anything over $250 gets 30% off so it is worth putting an order together...You can go on line and print out a catalog if you are interested

My buddy used the servo case screws out of a trashed servo for a nylon control horn on an ARF he was working on. I thought it was pretty innovative, because as you have seen, finding screws this size is pretty hard.

I e-mailed Omni Models, where I purchased the airplane, and they are going to see if they have something that will work. And if not, no biggie. I'll just order something online, any of the links you have suggested have hardware that will work.
