To determinate exactly the battery tray location I assembled all the parts weighted the model and find the moment from the recommended C.G. (the weight is not include the motor battery, the battery tray and some other little parts of about 10 gram)

Hi Isaac,
What I was suggesting was using S bus servos then there is no need for a decoder. Just one three core cable from the S bus socket on the Rx down to the back of the plane and if you want to a couple of sockets for the servo plugs with all three connections commoned. Alternatively solder the servo leads to the extension.
However I understand your desire to stick with what you know. I have a feeling that bus systems will become the norm in the same way that electric power did!

Fantastic! The plane looks great and your documentary is superb.
Isaac I have one question for you - with all the effort and equipment that goes into making a plane like this, why do you prefer not to use carbon propellers and lighter batteries? It seems like a pretty quick way to save 80-100g.
Maybe it just makes sense to save where you can, but not spend hundreds of dollars for that extra 80g?

Beautiful job and amazing scheme not only in design but in color selection.
I have the exact same question as Joe Marri. seems pretty easy to save some extra 100 g with a prop and a spinner.
see you in RSA!

I know that I can make the plane lighter by using a 40 pram or less carbon prop or by using a lighter battery (the sinner is the lightest in the market – Marquet-Spinner), that is why I mentioned what prop and battery I use so it is possible to calculate what is the plane potential weight.
My method is to build the plane as light as possible so I will have much spare weight so I can use any prop or battery that I want.
I prefer to use APC props because they are relative silence to carbon props despite they are heavier.
Best regards,

http://www.ofremmi.info/F3A/Technic/..._propeller.htm
I see you use a 20x13 I know PT has made a new lightweight version but it not that much to save on APC vs carbon on that size.
I think the carbon is about 40 gr (light) and apc is 86 gr ...I have used a PT (normal) 20x13 power is good but only is it 12gr lighter than the Apc.
I think F3a Unlimited has listed som lightweight carbon.
So Najary I think you correct about 40 gr on a prop and maybe spinner but not more , diffrent story if you had a 21X14 APC

Mejzlik also has ultralite props now. Weight of the Mej 20.5x12WEL is 43.1g vs 146.2 for APC 21x12W.
The Mej blade is very wide, so I would imagine the standard bladed props would be sub-40g.

This is the first model I ever had that there is no need for any knife edge mixing!!!!
I moved the C.G. to 185 mm from the trailing edge.
Best regards,
Isaac Najary

Hi Isaac,
Congratulations on the build. The model looks magnificent. I like the tinted canopy as it gives the model a little more class. I assume that you molded the canopy as it does not appear to be an option. Could you please explain the process of making a canopy and what type of material was used.
Regards,
Peter

The tinted canopy can be an option, Pascal Nowik have the mold for the clear canopy.
I think you can order it from him, just like I did.
