Default sticking monokote to monokote

somewhere i was reading a thread about using monokote on top of monokote and the best way to do it. anyhow here is a pic of my little test. this is an after pic of using xylene. the yellow was dipped in xylene and laid on the red and then i wiped it down and let it dry. seems to work well. i did get the same results with acetone but it evaporates too fast and is a bit more flammable.

Another vite for Windex. Chinch works better but is difficult to find. This one was done with Windex and is Monokote on Ultracote white base.

No windex here. Just an iron with a sock on it.

I know Windex works to stick Monocoat and will not work with Ultracoat. Is there a liquid/solvent that will work with Ultracoat the same way Windex works with Monocoat. I like using Ultracoat and am tired of buying Monocoat for graphics.

Yup. Works for me, too. I applied some Monokote stripes, just yesterday.

Does anybody have an answer for this?

I have never tried Windex I have always just ironed any trim or graphics right on the ultracote. I use monocote solvent or a generic brand to clean fuel residue from any of the film coverings as it cleans it best for ironing on repairs that will not lift. Small holes the solvent allows field repairs without having an iron and you can always iron it later. Here is a picture of my Pitts covered with ultracote and everything is just ironed in place.
