Matching receiver?
Hi guys, thanks in advance for any info!
Asking for a friend. He has an old Futaba 75mhz radio set up in an old RC car and needs a receiver.
Can he use any receiver so long as it has a matching 75mhz receiver crystal or does he need a specific 75mhz band receiver?
Can he switch out the crystals and use a new receiver and, let's say, 27mhzcrystals? (Might have those lying around.)
Thanks!

RE: Matching receiver?
I think any receiver should work- I just bought a lot of three cars with two radios, and one of the radio setups was a Traxxas AM unit w/ HPI receiver. They worked fine together, both being fitted with 'red' crystals.
