Default Hello again

Well it was year ago yesterday that I got bit by a prop on my left thumb. All is well with the thumb, only slight numbness in the skin near the knuckle. Anyway be careful around those spinning props!!! On another note, I have been buildling a PT 19 Dynaflite kit. My first kist build.. Fuselage is done. Just started laying out the wings.

Glad to hear you did not lose a thumb. Glad to hear you are into real modeling with a builder's project.

You have a potential fantastic flying model there. I used to have one. I loved flying the model (balanced well at 26% of MAC). Mine was used for Scale Warbird Racing, and powered by a MVS .40. It lost its appeal ( ) when it mated with another machine during a tight turn around the pylon. I was a tad loose on the turn and the next machine was tighter catching me at midship. Far too much destroyed to bother rebuild.

Good luck with your project.

Thanks all.
Yeah nothing but a few scars on the thumb. I was darn lucky!!!!!! This is my 2nd dynaflite PT 19. Still have the fuse from the first one. I had thought my first one was a GP PT 19. Had the wrong CG. thus the demise of the wing (and poor pilot skills). I bought some extra balsa and I'm tracing the ribs for the wings as I go for this build. This way I can build a wing for the fuse I have and I'll have two dynaflite PT 19s, I'm doing this build in the Chiliean Air Force colors (orange and silver) and leave the one I have in US Army blue and yellow, will use coverite for the covering. Here's a pic from the one I have now. Fuse survived, wing is toast. Dynaflite doens't make the kit any more. Found one here in the classifieds this past Christmas.

Yeap that is a CVA LHA, used for transporting Marines with Amphibious vehicles, Helos and Jump Jets. As my friends in the Navy say " Marine stands for -My A@@ Rides In Navy Equipment.
Ha ha.

C/G the need for boots depends on the crap you're already standing in. If this keeps up I would suggest hip waders!!!

Hip waders, eh? Hmmm... well, the CG never issued them to me because they never figured I'd be this deep in in it!!! But, there is a Walmart nearby...
