Yes, and there there was also a wing put out by Vasa I think that used there 55mm edf unit.

Most airplanes fitted with a ducted fan will have less performance, be heavier and have shorter flight time then with a prop. You also move the thrustline up making the launch harder. It's doable, but most stay away from spending money on making something worse.

The wing was basically a Zagi or any wing with the same angle with an EDF in the center rear winth an intake inlet and thrust cone 4 cells on a 3300 kv motor. Lipos were placed close to leading edge split pack of 2s in series. Fan sat center of wing not on top.
