Depends on what kind of performance & support your seeking.
Myself I'm flying DA's on my aircraft and other than an ignition
glitch I've had great success. I've got 2 DA120's 1 on a Comp Arf
and another on a Pilot and both fly with plenty of authority....
You will get alot of suggestions here I'm sure......

Yeah I know people have thier preferences , but from what i've researched , and read the 3W 170 has the most authority for a 170cc engine what you think there.

I once did a side by side comparison on a DA 85 and a 3W 85 to see what the power difference was. From my experience the DA had more power but the 3W was a smoother running engine. With that being said, I have both brands that I fly 3D with. My preference is a 3W because they can handle the heat a little better. However, they are known for ignition problems and quite often they have to be replaced with something like an RCEXCEL ignition. Either way you go, you will not be disappointed in the power that the 170 puts out.

tried an MVVS80 on int 80 canister??, guess not.
The MVVS175NP is the logical cc expansion.

I once had a 3W 170. Now this was the standard version, had a Walbro carb and RCEXCEL ignition. It did have a ton of power but I could never get it to clean up in the mid range. I not only tried adjusting needles but tried adjusting the pop off pressure, different timing settings, pretty much anything else I could think of. Nothing worked and I am no stranger to gassers. My first being a 3W 70 twin that was purchased from DA when they were 3W dealers. In the end I gave up on it.

You might want to do a little research on the GP176.

Oh trust me I am. In fact was at a pylon race with Dave yesterday. We talked about the 176 and a couple new things he's working on. I told him I had a Comp ARF 3M Extra 330 in the garage that needed a little repair and some paint and I thought he was going to send me home to get it. great guy to deal with and just hang out with. A real competitor too.
