DLE20 in a Pheonix topmodel p-51
Hey guys.
Just seeing if anyone knows if a DLE20 engine can fit into a Pheonix Top model p-51 .60-.91 ARF?

I have a DLE 20 inside my Hangar 9 60 sized P51 'Blue Nose' (their 65" wingspan one). The required clearance from the fire wall to the back of the spinner on the DLE is something like 138mm (5 7/16"), which allowed it to fit almost exactly - though the carb's rear bolts and the choke valve can touch the firewall, meaning I'll need to trim it up just a little.
PS - aside from the actual spark plug cap itself, the side of the pitts muffler and the actual exhaust outlets are the ONLY bits of the motor that stick out, have a look at the bottom of this page to see what I mean:
