RE: SUPER BOAT
Thank you, Ron!
I'm glad you think it's appeared to be WARPATH. This is one of my favorite.
Actually I started from electric rigger for almost 3 year.
"QUICK" is my 1st gas rigger then I may have been influenced by some of those.
"QUICK" is for racing in Thailand and some neighbor countries.
Hope to have your recommendation again once you've seen its final photos and 1st run clip.

RE: SUPER BOAT
Hi, Ron
As below is my 1st run of outrigger boat "QUICK".
I think turn-fin and sponson are not good during this first run.
Please help to comment for next step to complete.

RE: SUPER BOAT
That is kind of what I'm seeing also. I'm trying to consider also the water conditions but it does seem that the front sponsons are bouncing a lot, possibly too much angle of attack in them and/or the turn fin angle.
My latest one was doing what your appears to be doing and I didn't see it until I took a picture to see it.
This is the picture of mine where I saw my problem. Note that the turn fin bracket wasn't parallel with the tub. Fortunately the front sponsons were adjustable on the rear boom.

RE: SUPER BOAT
Thank you so much, Ron.
I'm re-design sponson in order to get the right angle shape and fin. I'll change from Aluminium fin to Stainless instead. I found that it's bend after 1st run. Do you think 3mm. thickness is sufficient or not for stainless turn fin?
When it's done I'll re-run again and let you see the clip.

I'm not quite sure I understood. It maybe the language problem, please help to clarify what "The jury is out on running turn fins on both sponsons through" mean?
The reason I use fin on both sponsons is due to the racing here in Thailand is M track not Capsule.
Early of this year there was a race at Pataya, Thailand. I saw a fastest hydro gas boat I've ever seen.
But he fail to win because he cannot turn left. He didn't have turn fin on left sponson.
From the below clip, please check the last boat who left the starting point "Yellow".

We race in a clock-wise oval so we just don't see turn fins being used on both sponsons, just on the right one. The only exception is the offshore class when the boats make one left turn per lap. Normally outrigger hydroplanes aren't used in that class.
"The jury is still out" means that there is no right or wrong way to do things until proven.
