Default Jato 3.3 running issues

Just got my jato 3.3 running again and im trying to diagnose an old issue i have with it, it was the reason i stopped even running it in the first place. What happens is while im running it sounds like the engine starts to free wheel and the car will not move forward, then when the rpms come down low enough it can re engage and move again. any input would be appreciated guys. thanks

Have you checked your clutches? They could be slipping, this will allow the engine to rev without the truck moving much.

Check the one-way clutch in the 2spd housing. If the one-way clutch (also called the one-way bearing or OWB) gets too wet with oil, it will slip and not grab. I have a similar problem with my LST2's 2-spd hub from time to time. Until the engine is allowed to drop back to idle or low throttle, the hub wont grab and the truck sits still. The 2-spd hub is inside the transmission in the Jato and IMO is worth pulling the tranny, cleaning it all up, and making sure the OWB and 2spd pawl hub is dry.
