1 X 1/9th Rafale - twin pipe failure in flight. Pipe fell apart at welds and instantly cooked fuselage and melted servo leads. Airframe was destroyed, wren 100 and valves damaged, numerous servo leads melted.

Im actually quite shocked at the amount of people that would trust the stock pipe. []

If the kit came from BVM etc.. then ok.. but from Asia? Who knows what kind of metal was used. It might be stainless..but of what composition.

I put down 1/6. Let me know if it was a 1/8. I couldn't really tell. What was the Turbine on this one?

It was a 1/8 F16 with a Merlin 90

I hope this thread and others, can contribute to make FEJ change their customer policy and improve their product.

If they insist to produce crap and on top of it treat customers like tihs, then don't geoperdize our hobby and leave business.

We are not your R&D department[:'(]

HI all, I lost my First T-33 ( practice plane for the WJM's with a engine out on the first flight .The T-33 with no power, fell like a brick and I blame that on the weight and terrible aerodynamics. I watched Bob from BVM, bring back home a F-100, engine out, glided in perfect
FeJ's makes very pretty jets, but know squat about aerodynamics.

Pete, although I agree with you that a lot of their designs are bad, this one would be hard to add to the list because I am looking for jets with structural failure that destroyed the jet. Has anyone else experienced the same issue you did on the T-33? I'm sorry to hear about your loss. That was a cool looking jet for sure. It flew pretty well at JWM didn't it?

I tried 1 of the smaller F-15's and the wing blew apart on the 8th flight. Not one piece of hardwood in the wing. My plane had the tube still attached to the fuse and balsa wood glued to the tube. No hardwood. Fly Eagle replaced the plane at a deep discount. The 2nd one had the right stab depart in flight and crashed as well. The 2nd plane lasted to the 12th flight. Two planes, two structural failures, a total of 20 flights. I have not and will not purchase another.

2 more junk FEJ planes in the landfill. Add them to the totals!!!!

FEJ 1/9th F15 lost horizontal stab in flight. The pivot mount pulled out of the plywood it was screwed to. Turns out they had no blind nuts on the other side of the wood just machine screws treaded into the wood. The way it was constructed there was no way to see the other side of the mount. Actually got the plane down without too much damage but the damage to the tail and some landing gear damage plus the crappy way it was put together caused me to just trash it. As I said "had one never again"

B****** Hell…..!!!
The amount of accidents shocks me on here…. or are they accidents? Because really the jets have a crash built into them…..Some factors we should take into account are:-
1-Surely there is a threat to human life here especially flying at model shows etc?

2-The LMA in the Uk are signing these jets off if over 20KG without knowing how the wings are built etc surely this is a KICK in the teeth for the Builders out there ?

3-Should there not be some Set standards before letting these into our countries?

4-Insurance in the UK such as BMFA how does that factor?

ARE WE GOING TO WAIT AROUND FOR ONE OF THESE TO GO IN AT A SHOW?

And if so who takes responsibility?

IM sure there are many more Questions

FEJ won't...... the pilot will lost the plane and take responsability with insurance company (if they don't read these threads). Just hope it never happens
