You can get the plans from here. https://www.rcmplans.com/index.php?m...oducts_id=1460 I got mine from a gent on EBay and they were enlarged. I don't know of any others out there.[&o] They're decent but will require extensive modification and upgrades for the size. I know I said no "future projects" but the gear are in the works. The kit will be either laser cut or most likely, a full scratch build by yours truly..

Yep that's why I told him to PM to not hijack your forum.

Have my share of Luftwaffe aircraft. Too many to post.

But this should apply for a edf jet Luftwaffe for ya

That is awesome!!
Jeff,

I painted that for Rich a few years back. he was looking for a ''different''
scheme.

so we went with the scheme I had painted on my PCM109.

Its definatly different
Most of the jet guys probably wouldn't appreciate it......but I think it is great!
Hope all of you guys are doing good out there in sunny CA. I'm getting ready to head down to sunny FLA....we have had a cool spring.

Adding to the Lufwaffe -

Miester Scale FW-190
3W-75
Sierra gear with Glennis wheels

The plane was originally built by a friend of mine - Rich Eggleston

He built three of them and we were lucky enough to get them all three up at the same time in FonDuLac a few years ago.

I have flown my share of 100 inch plus wingspan warbirds and this one is by far, the most forgiving and easiest plane to fly. Makes me look good every time.

Those wulfs look amazing. I love Meister kits. I have the D9 glass fuse kit now. I built the wood version years ago before I was into threads, was midaired by an ARF and the rebuilt it, then sold it and the canopy was crushed in shipping[:@] Pictures are of the rebuild.

Thanks Downer, funny thing, I almost sold the D9 some time back. I'm glad the deal fell through as she's turning out to be a really nice bird. The gun hood opens and the forward part to it also opens, so I can make this electric (not going to happen..lol) or make my tank very accessible.

I took a slight pause from my TA 152 to throw together a Fokker DR1. I am hoping to have this thing flying in about a month. Then I need to finish an old Sun fli 5 sport plane. Then I will get back to the TA 152. I just needed to get some stuff to fly, and I really miss my old triplane.

Looks great Ram. Hope I get a chance to fly with you this summer.

Thanks OVSS Boss, I wanted to do something completely different from the norm. There are so many FW190's to choose from but you see the same schemes like black "8" (my personal favorite) or the most popular pilots highlighted versions get beat to death...

I am envious of the scheme all the way around. I would love to do the A-9 that they found at the end of the war in KGJ27 colors and in the Sis T 1/4 scale A model. But would have ot do a new canopy and the armour hood would need to be done. Got a long way to travel before then huh?

Yah, the axel wing alone is almost legal for q-500 racing! lol.

Is there any interest for a fiberglass Fuse for the Don Smith 98" DO-335? Im going to start the Cad drawings for the rear prop drive/ gear reduction and have been planning to to a glass fuse for the thing. I have even thought of doing an all composite model as well if there was a demand.

Anyone?

I would be interested in the fuse for sure . That would be a good option, for those of us who like foam. That would really quicken the build and put that aircraft within reach budget wise. Any idea of a ballpark price figure for the fuse?

Due to its size, probly $600-700 ish. It would also have the vertical stabs molded as integral to the fuse as well, all panel lines, hatches, etc.

But if you want the 2 seat version, thats be a separate molding that is added to the primary fuse..

It would be setup to use a 3 piece wing like the Don Smith plans show.

The killer for this airplane is the landing gear. The CJM gear is $900 or so, and Sierra is $1200! But when you see the gear and realize the nose strut is 16" long, you realize real fast why it costs what it does.

The other killer is the rear engine. I dont like the idea of hanging a gasser that far back, and electric isnt cost effective or realistic due to the 12s 10000 lipos PER motor that would be needed at this size IMO.
So you have one option. A G45 with the Engel Modellbau driveshaft extension (about $900 for the driveshaft and motor).

I would like to have a custom made up driveshaft system that uses a1.5/7:1 belt reduction to be able to turn a scale prop, as well as use a DLE-55 motor. Price would probably be about the same as the engel, but you would have more power at roughly the same weight.

NO way around it, the 335 is an expensive plane.

Nope,
Not at all. I laid the plans back out today to get some dimensions off of it for the driveshaft, and the fuse is over 8' long and the center wing section will be 4' wide. I knew it was big, but i didnt realize it was going to be THAT big.

Ill probably just use the Engel driveshaft and G45 at first, and work on another design later on
