What CG did you end up with. I think my other one is 315-320. This one feels lighter on the nose. I need to get it out and check.

The CG is a good question
If I remember correctly, it is set at the recommended position. With empty tank, the frontwheel presses down with about 1200 gram on a scale
It's all sorted again, but strugling a bit with the main gear and the springs inside it.
When I dissemble the legs, clean them etc, they work fine for a few days, after that they "stick" more and more to the point where they won't come out again. If I adjust the screw, they get too soft, and will sag.
Got some new longer springs from Diddi (also the green type, but just longer), hope they work better once I get them installed...

Whats the status of yours?

ran the motor and did all the checks. Everything ready to go!
Cant wait to see how brakes work! They seems to be good, just different than air. They dont actually lock which i guess is a good thing.
Theres a Notam all day today and tomorrow!! UGH!

Would a P180 be a good choice for this bird? I mean flying scale with cockpit, pilots, opnening canopy, etc...

I was just planning to have a not so fuel eater turbine like the P200

What do you guys think?

I think you will struggle to fly this model in a scale fashion with a P180. The reason is that flying scale can often require more power as you are looking to keep the speed lower and thus you need more power to pull the model through climbs and loops etc rather than using the inertia from a 200mph pass!!! The Hawk isn't ducted either so there is a lot of drag to start with.

I think a P200 - 220 turbine is just about spot on.

You will definitely save a few lbs using a P180 sized motor which would help but The P200 feels perfect to me. A P160 barely flys it. I have yet to see a P180 Tomahawk fly though. 3 more lbs of thrust desnt seem like it would make that much different. I have to get into the power alot when the gear and flaps come down. It screaches to a hault. I would think you would be much happier with P200. Plus the jet probably flys a bit better on the heavier side anyways.

I'm using a Powerbox Cockpit SRS and two Futaba R6203 receivers delivering SBUS signals to the Powerbox (the Powerbox can also accept Spektrum, Multiplex, HotT etc receivers)

if you want partecipe the world master 2013 in Switzerland you must this, the first test fly i use P200 and after i use Beotech 180 gold with 200 newton,,,,,, you remember the first model that Thomas have make for world master in Israele 2009 ?? ok this is the same.....
