lol
love how nitro house sells stuff at low prices, and sometimes with weird titles like this.
my HPI nitro star .15FE IMO makes a nice paperweight as it has a built in motor mount so it can stand upright

http://www.nitrohouse.com/Picco-05-S...rt_p_8704.html has a pullstart

Very cool little engine, as an engine and as a paperweight.

Yes, they are cool. It looks like they started with a .05 and made gradual increases in displacement up to 0.08. I was looking into these a while back and also found this (which comes with complete exhaust, flywheel and clutch):

I originally found the OP's link on the 0.05 and thought it might be a cheap replacement to keep on hand for when the engine in my 1/16 VTX dies, but then I found the 0.08 complete with exhaust and thought it might be a good engine for some sort of scratch project.

Is that not the stock engine in the Xray NT18? The .05 is better I think (at least for on-road use).

But its a $30 paper weight. Nice little engine. Its about the same size as the old Cox engines from the 60's, those were .049.

Huh...neat!! I had no idea such a small displacement nitro even existed. What would that go in? Any body got any vid of a car running that they could post? Been looking for something new to tinker with & this has my attention.

Oh yeah, I think I saw them in planes way back, but wasn't sure what I was looking at. I guess I'm intrigued that a tiny nitro engine could power a tiny car. Would be curious to know more about the cars they power, performance etc.

Here ya go...this is by far the best of the nitro powered minis...it even comes with a little starter box. I used to have the on-road car, the NT18, the T is a truck version.

I want one of those for a project i have rattling in my brain... can't justify $30 right now.

boy, I sure hope one day it comes full circle and nitro comes back with a vengeance. its not that hard people! plus a nitro engine wont break the conrod sitting like a lipo battery puffing for no reason at all.
