Default Thanks Frank Tiano and Happy 25th Anniversary!

We all had a wonderful time this year at Top Gun.
I heard more people saying how much fun they had this year.
Everything went perfect!
If you took advantage of the open flying you would think you were at any fun fly. Open flying in the morning, at lunch and every afternoon.
I heard the party on Friday night was really good. I had to miss because I was wrenching on my stuff!
The Saturday Banquet was really nice. some people shared some very touching stories and it makes you realize the impact Frank has had on many peoples lives. Dinner was delicious!
Weather was great, the accomodations were great, people were great, atmosphere, etc.
Climate was very mild and very comfortable. Light winds at times but nothing unmanageable. little rain that managed to miss all the important stuff.
It really seemed like this year everyone was really in great spirits and having a great time. No drama, nothing!
Unfortunately a few more crashes than usual, but some miraculous rebuilds this year.
A really great group of guys.
Frank put on an awesome show! 25 yr Anniversary!! What an achievement!
Thanks Frank!
Scott Marr

Well said Scott! I would agree with all of the above. I am not the most seasoned of Top Gun Attendees ( I think this was my 4th or 5th ) But it was for sure better and more relaxed than any other that I have been to. The multiple classes and the open flying do make it far more worth the journey for me. Also helps work the bugs outta the toys.
I am looking forward to next year already.
Thanks Frank!
Regards Al

You guys pitted beside us with Joey, Henry, Greame, Escalona's gang, Paco's gang, Rei, Rj made the event for me. Really a feeling of family and friendship.
Multiple classes is what transformed this event for me!
Ali I hear your voice for days after seeing you for a week! Its hilarious!
See you soon!

Congrats Frank on your 25th! I have to mirror what Scott said. This event runs like a well oiled machine. Everything was in place. The entertainment was superb! The banquet and reception food was over the top! I feel extremely fortunate to have been able to participate in this event.

Frank, hats off to you and your entire crew!

well said scott. i have been going for 7 years now and i cant wait for the 8th. the event is run smooth and fun. frank is a great host and he does so much behind the scenes. the banquet is always fun. however, my favorite thing this year was the fake snake i had hiding under my cowling. i had the snake under a rag with fishing line tied to it. it seems everyone is scared of snakes!!! doc yates and i laughed till our sides hurt all day every day. i hated when i had to go fly my round.

Thanks Scott! Yeah, I couldn't have done it without Jim's help. Although I was only in the Pro-am Sportsman's class, all of the guys there were very tough competitors. I was surprised at how close the point spread on the top tier was. One bad maneuver and your almost finished.. My third round almost did me in!

Andy, nothing personal, but I was hoping for a slight bobble. Maybe the snake should have visited you during a flight. Barry

It is a fun event and it was great to get to see old friends and make some new ones. Barry and that $%&^*(* snake almost made me have a heart attack, which probably explains my shaking flying, but alas someone has got to be near the bottom.
Hope to see you guys again next year....and thanks again Frankie!!!

man doc, we scared so many people with that snake. i forgot you were the first. for those that dont know, i had a wooden snake from hobby lobby. i painted it to look mean. when doc arrived, he was assembling his model on his hands and knees. next to him was a blanket with his tools on it. i set the snake in the middle of the tools. next thing you know, he blindly reaches for a tool and picks up the snake. he slung the snake all the way across the tent. i am still laughing about that one. oh, and his wife was in on the stunt too. after that i had the snake under my corsair cowling on the ground with a shop rag covering the snake. there was a 10 foot long fishing line attached to the snake. we would ask people to hand us the rag, then i slid the snake out. pure fun. barry

I don't have too much to say, for once! It's nice to see the compliments, I am not accustomed to those! Thanks to all the guys who make Top Gun what it is.
And that means the Pilots and Crew, The Imperial RC Club, all the workers, and the tremendous help we get from Sponsors. We will have hundreds of photos,
taken by David Hart, posted on our web site in about a week. As for a Video of the event, unfortunately SKS Video, or no one else for that matter,
did not think the 25th Anniversary of Top Gun was worthwhile to film and is concentrating on Jo-Nall instead.
Say La Vee. (I know, I spelt it wrong.) See some of you at Monster Planes, October 24-26??

It's GREAT to see all the positive comments. At last the majority of people recognize the tremendous efforts by Frank to see that this was, is and remains the event of the best of the best. Thanks Again, JMPUPS
