WREN 44 gold Kero FADEC replacement
Gents,
I had to replace my Fadec V10K on my 44 gold kero due to the fact that the old one has been damaged by reverse polarity. So I bought a new one from Xicoy, installed it and wanted to upload the data from the backup I made some time ago.
Now I found out that the actual pc software FADV5f doesn't give the option to upload the backup. There is a tab in the File menu 'write data from file' which doesn't work at all. As per information from Gaspar this option isn't implemented in the software. I'm a bit surprised about this, imho this is a real important option. Otherwise why should I do a backup with no option to restore.
At the moment I can't use the engine at all which isn't very nice due to the fact we have a spring meeting next weekend.
Any ideas how to get my data back into the new Fadec without sending engine and Fadec in for service ?
Cheers,
Ralf

RE: WREN 44 gold Kero FADEC replacement
that is very simple
dont you have the other ecu anymore?
Always keep it
because you can Always see all the settings , even if its fried
or is the screen of the terminal black?
in that case, give wren a call or email , they will give you the right settings

RE: WREN 44 gold Kero FADEC replacement
sorry, but the old Fadec died and isn't available anymore.
I thought that maybe someone wrote his own software for example to convert the backup file values into real menu values.
The idea to contact WREN for the basic settings is ok but I would loose all the fine tuning.
Cheers,
Ralf

Ralf,
Is the ECU programmed for the 44? When you power it up, does it read "Wren 44" ???
I can email to you the parameters for the four menus that are accessible on the HDT, if these are what you require.
Also, you can access the inner parameter settings by powering up the system and quickly pressing the first and third HDT buttons.
I can copy them all down for you and email these also. I think there are about 260 parameters.......
Please let me know.

Ron,
no it's not programmed yet. It is a brand new Fadec directly sent from Gaspar. I really would appreciate if you could send me the data.

Ron,
just checked the ecu by pressing the first and third HDT buttons. I only get parameters 0-31. Is there another button combination to press to get the rest of 260 ?
