Thanks gents. It was a fun build. It's raining and will continue throughout the rest of the week but the batteries are getting charged for clearer skies.

Chris, I am putting the electric start in this plane and probably my pilot sbach 50cc, I ordered two of them... John Smith had it on his wulf, too cool to watch it start on its own. I think it could be a valuable safety feature if you have a flame-out and need to restart in the air. Since the 190 needs weight in the nose, might as well make it useful!

Nice yeah thats a neat feature to have and its useful weight instead of dead weight. Post some pics of that install in the FW when you get a chance.
Which engine are you using?

Actually you should start a thread just about that install and a video. Thats a fun project!

Yeah, I stated that your German collection wouldn't be complete without a WULF...and then you go putting a twist on things!!!...

Yeah that electric starter system is cool. I can't wait to get mine in. I ordered two engines with and three starters for current projects and my future TA-154 build from SDShobby.com. The problem is the shipping, it looks like a deal until you see the shipping price..[:@][:@][:'(][&o]

Thunderboat42: I'm not sure exactly but I believe it is talking
about the unit that the FW 190A came from and Now the unit that it was
attached to After it's capture.
Yeah the name is something that I represent. Most of all my planes are what
they flew during their tour of duty otherthan the JU-87 and the FW-190A I am doing now.
This FW-190 is going to be nice when I compleat it. With lights and a sstarter system. Why pay $110.95 + &65.00
shipping. Then get a bag of parts you have to Assemble. You can get the same parts from Ace Hardware or your hobby shop for under $50

That Electric Starter looks cool, any idea if it would fit inside of the Cowl of narrow Warbirds like a P-40 or P-51; also, do you use an onboard battery or remote battery?

Since nose weight is needed in the Fw 190A for proper CG anyway, it makes perfect sense to use "weight" that is useful. Electric start would be very useful weight. Much better than lead as far as usefulness goes.

When I was working W/smaller sized aircraft I used to take the nearly completed airframe to the LHS & select an engine that was heavy enough to nearly balance the CG. Shifting battery packs was always enough to get CG fine tuned.

That has got to be the ugliest paint scheme for a 190 I have ever seen! You guys need to come up to love-air and fly with me. Bring the stuka though, not sure I could stomach that drone scheme! lol

Oh I don't know, I applaud the gentleman for trying to do something different.... I think you're being a little harsh Nate... Double 00 buck really?

Personally have seen a lot worse... German paint schemes can be rather tricky at times and have seen a lot of those botched up pretty bad.

I think it's because it's captured that bothers most, not just the colors (they don't help either). Here is another strange variant (TA-152) with interesting colors. Talk about visibility...
