Ha ha, you do make me laugh Mike!

Believe it or not we sometimes get real blue skies over here occasionally, and we have an ace photographer to capture it too.

Just logged her 54th trouble free flight this weekend.

Hi All
I have test flown my Merc Viper with 1 stock tank in the front and am using the 2 smoke saddle tanks as fuel tanks. C/G 30 mm back from
centre of wing tube. I only needed 2 clicks of  up elevator and the landing was achieved with full flap 50mm and 6mm of down elevator.
The only problem I had was the brakes locked up, Has anybody got any information on Jet Legend Electronic Air Valves ?
Regards
Jim

May be the down elevator mix with full flaps triggered the electronic brake valve?

What Azzam says makes sense. 6mm is a fair bit of down and might be enough to trigger your brake if it is on your down elevator mix.

I removed my brake function from my elevator and use it solely on a slider on my radio. Half way down it pulses and then goes to full lock at all the way down.

Try mixing in some crow, this might help remove some elevator trim.

Hi,

some pics from my Viper last weekend at a rc-model-toy-fair in Germany.
Smoketanks from JL, pump is an old turbine fuel pump, an old ESC for wire motors and as smokeoil
Citronella, is a lamp oil.
My smoke smells like a lemon

Superb !
What did you use to paint the interior of the body (stone)?
A bomb or airbrush? What is the additional weight?

Hi Chris. Beautiful install, well done. It looks like you have removed the inlet ducting completely, have you found any adverse effects from that or are they just unnecessary? I am building one using the same combination.

Does anyone have the specs on the GJC 20kg HV servos: info like who makes them, gear type, ball bearing, coreless, speed, etc. I've tried searching every way I can think of, and I give up.

or are they just unnecessary
yes the ducting is unnecessary by useing a turbine.

I did it the same way. You will have no CG move during a flight due to fuel consumtion.

Those that have flown theirs for some time, have u noticed any bad tendencies or bad stall behaviors either slow or high speed stalls? Mine is still a few weeks out, just wondering.

the only thing is too much elevator at low speed will snap it. Ask me how I know It flies well but will tip stall and roll over, like most non delta wings. Also on a vertical climbout, it tends to yaw even with plenty of speed. Could just be mine but I have to apply rudder to keep the nose straight. My rudder is perfectly trimmed. Other than that just the usual. Elevator couples to aileron so you need to mix it out in your head or on radio.

But its her land very very nice. Theres not much to complain about on this just nit picking since you asked.

I've found you can actually pull it in quite sharp turn. Slow flight on landing with Crow is excellent and very stable. Big loops with the P80se pushing it along.
