Nick Ziroli just came up to work for,me so I could come down for the week long event this year. The big Turbinator wount be ready since Robart has not shipped out my gear to Great planes. I could have gotten them direct for several hundred dollars more but why hurry and waste several hundred dollars as I took two years to build the plane. Jimmie, and othello will be down Tuesday as well. Bob and Harold coming down Wes or Thursday. See you all next week. Hope the weather holds out for us.

Looking forward to seeing you on the flight line.
Note to all:..... Wednesday is last day for tent orders. I have to call them in Wednesday evening and write the big check! Looks like we have a LOT of folks coming this year. Its gonna look like the Circus came to town on Tent Row! The airport has OK'ed us to start putting up tents on Monday so we can insure all of them are up and ready for you guys on Tuesday. We'll start letting guys park their trailers behind the tents after lunch as long as they are all in place. They have around 25 or so to erect, so they'll need as much time as we can give them!
Need to have items mailed / shipped to Wilson? Just drop me a call/ email and I'll put you in contact with a good source. One of our event staff members lives right across the road from the airport and has again offered to accept packages, boxes etc. He'll bring them to the airport ( as long as they'll fit in a pick-up) and hand deliver to ya. He's a good dude and you can certainly trust him. Just let us know if you need him. One stipulation. Do not ship with "Signature Required". Like many of us, Gene has a job!!! lol Don't worry. He lives in a gooood neighborhood!!! To date, no packages have grown legs and walked off his property!!!!

Looking forward to making down to Wilson next week. Haven't been able to get there yet due to work schedules and other interference over the last couple of years.
So I spent the day fixing the wife's minivan for the trip as it was less broken then mine. Gotta say I was rather proud of myself I replaced the left front wheel bearing, put on new rotors and pads, replaced a leaking oil sender switch, put in a new servo gasket on the transmission so it stops lubing the garage floor, adjusted the bumpers on the rear hatch so it stops rattling and fixed the inside door handle so now all the doors open from the inside or out. Now granted these are problems I planed on fixing as time allowed but what do you think the wife's response was when she got home today? You guessed it "I guess my van would always be fixed if you took it jet flying every week". Well' like a damn fool I brought up the fabled gift horse and mouth story. Needless to say dinner was kinda quite.
Tomorrow I'm off to Topeka Kansas to broadcast the NHRA race this weekend, hopefully when I get home Monday things will be better and I'll be loading the nicely maintained wife's van and not my broken down PoS. And I thought getting planes ready was going to be tough.
Thought you guys would get a kick out of this.

I got the you have to fix the icemaker before you go BS again. I bought the top of the line GE French door refegerator only to find out that the ice maker and most of the unit is not made by GE and brakes every year or so. 92$ later so I would have the parts Friday the yelling stopped last night. I said do you know how much ice you could by for 92$ so I could finish my F-86? It got really loud then quiet so I was happy to go to work today. See you next week Bob.

Yup! Got the OK from the city of Wilson to start set up on Monday. Tent guys will start around 7:00 AM,( they have a TON of big tents to set up) We'll get started around 8:00 placing cones, borders, fencing etc. Any and all help appreciated.
