Great stuff guys!

Ihad at least a couple Tipo's late 80's early 90's
My last one.. tailgate on my truck popped down on the road from a pot-hole, wing blew out. Ipulled off the road fast, jumped out, ran out in the 3 lane road (wing in the center lane, spanning the entire lane), Looked down the road as Iwas just about to step into the first lane, just in time to watch a big red 4x4 come hauling butt and runs the wing over. It was just infront of me, and the &%@$ looked right at me. week before a contest too! Im sure you can imagine all the thoughts and feelings Ihad...
Think that was about 1990.

At the time, nothing compared to a Tipo! Well, the LA-1maybe... hmm, might just sneak over to dad's late one night and nab his LA...

oop, he might just be reading this!

I'm not sure if this will suffice, but here's the whole Curare Plan article published I THINK in 1977....

Thanks but it does not show the wing ribs.
Actually it does, just in not so many sizes... Ribs can be interpolated for all the stations using the root and tip foils or, they can be scratched by using the sandwich technique for the in-between ribs.

The patterns in the link Tim provided in the post above are for the MK Curare plan which is a little different than the UK plan. The airfoil is primarily different but other details in the planform also differ internally.

I'd personally prefer to build off the MK plan as the MAN plan is notoriously problematic and the UK plan is simpler but maybe a little antiquated compared to the MK design.

There are also several Curare short kits which help if a complete plans build is not desired.

I Wish to thank everyone that read and responded to my thread.
And to keep those great memories alive I have one more fuse that I have that needs to be identified.
It has a HARTMAN FIBERGLASS R/C label from Argenta Illinois

P.S I now have the Curare wing ribs ready to be cut in my laser

It kind of looks like a Tiger Tail IV...not an expert though, let's see what everyone else says.

HOLY COW, you have an Oce!!! We switched to Kip at my last job...POS! It wouldn't print my large scale plans...guess it was meant for contractor plans so I guess I couldn't complain but nothing beat the Oce.

Man, an Oce, 3D router, and a laser How do you get any work done.

If that's a Tiger Tail we need to make a copy of it. I love that plane. This is what they look like.

I figured you were using those rolls for something like that.
If you mold it let me know, we may have to work something out
I looked for a TT when I got into pattern a few years ago and came upon a Dirty Birdy (which we molded), a Vertigo II (I just left the shop from working on the plug, it's a mess), Phoenix 6, and a Cutlass but no TT 4

Jets, cool. I've got a fiberglass BAE Hawk in the shop that needs to find a home. We found a huge P-40 that my buddy said can we make a mold of that...sure we can! We had build night tonight and worked on it.

I edited the post above, let me know if you make some molds.

Hartman made several models of glass fuselages with wood frames in the 60's. This is one of them, it looks like one called the Zeus. They came with a plain top deck so that canopy is added if I'm right about it being the Zeus. I remember Tony Bonetti's P-39 being a Hartman fuselage with foam wings and the plans in the magazine were a wood design in case one wanted to build it that way! The real one was a glass Hartman fuse.
I saw all of three versions for sale in Kansas City 2 years ago at an estate sale. All had the wooden frames and open bottoms with paper tags describing their name and origin like Mr. Meek's.

Has anyone got a set of Curare built up wing plans?
I'll have to go dig through my plans but I think I have the complete set of plans for the Curare.

That there airplane is a TECHNICIAN.
It was kitted in the mid and late '80's ... and a minute after I click send, I'll remember the designer's name.

Regards,
Dean Pappas

Guys, I take it back: that's a modified Hippo Tipo.

And the designer's name is Carl Lovins from the Cinncinnati area

Dean ... sheepishly

Dean I have seen your name in many magazines over the years and I truly understand trying to remember things.
You see I also suffer from CRS disease
