C&C MB339 Maiden
Maiden flights of the C&C MB339 went well. P80SE for power seemed just right. A little bouncy on landing but we had no wind. I think a little headwind would help, I might try a little crow like we did with the old Cermark MB339. Any thoughts? I believe my plane is a little older and heavier than the latest kits, I bought it second hand on RCU. weight dry was 29lbs but it took off and flew very well with the P80. Half to three quarter power most of the flight. Thank you to Nick Yuhasz for his help during the first flight.

RE: C&C MB339 Maiden
The maiden was today! First impressions: With the actual CG I'got a nose heavy jet(better tham tail of course). A few clicks of left airelon was required for level flight.
At the moment of the flight I had a crossed wind of 7 kts. Actually didn't help for the landing.
The JetCat 120 is very powerfull for this model. And the first flight duration was 6 min on a 2,5lts tank. The jet moves on their wheels quite fast on idle power, and some brake was required for taxi.
Two attemps were made for landind, but the field in Campinas is very short with only 150mts! The first two attemps I arrived overthe field too fast, the third I've idle the turbine in the downwind leg and managed to stop the MB-339 in the end of the tarmac just over the grass. A little bumped landing, but no damage at all.
During taxi one of the main tires did a hole in the brake hose, causing an air leak.

I just remove some lead from the nose. This days gonna fly again and see how it goes. I've noticed that the aluminun servo tray from the nose landing gear it's really soft and bends easy, and all the time the tray moves the direction of the nose whell also moves! Needsreinforcement.

RE: C&C MB339 Maiden
Hi guys,
Since the P-120 has more than enough power and to save some weight I've replaced it for a K-100. Since this is a lighter turbibe I was able to remove some led from the nose.
The flaps now extend almost 80 degrees, and even so this plane want to fly in idle for a very long distance. Landings should be in very low speed otherwise a bounced will occur. The landing gear appears to be very strong. Carbon reinforcement for the nose steering servo tray was made to avoid it to bent in a not than perfect landing.

No. First flight was in Campinas, witch is also 150m. But 5 months ago I've moved to Brasilia, here the field is about 400m. In Vinhedo I was flying with a Falcon with a K-80. I've logged more than 50 flights in that short field.
