Just received my winterketten tracks for my Stug. I LOVE these tracks. Next step for this tank is either a Clark board or DBC then paint.

Very cool. I love the way a StuG sits with those tracks, makes it look even flatter.

Better brush up on a whitewash technique when you're ready to paint.

Since playing on WOT I fell in love with the Stug and most of the TDs. That's a definite on my list. Where did you get the tracks? Hope you do a build log on the electronic changes and mods prior to painting.

Love to build I got the tracks from Hobby Raw.  I think I paid around $125 for them and it tooks 2 weeks to get them but they were defiantly worth the time and wait.  I'll keep everyone updated with the progress of the tank.

I was thinking of doing the winterketten also, but went with the shurtzen instead. How much wider are they than the standard track?

Herman not for sure on exactly how much wider they are than the stock tracks but its defiantly a big difference.  When I get home tonight i'll try to think to measure them.

The commander needs to get his butt back into the turret. He is a sitting duck for one of the female Russian snipers.

not to mention a broken back at the first big hole. [:@] Are those the "new" Wehrmacht issue colors? Winterketten make any Pz III chassis look good and they run great.

Lol!!!  You right Mike those Russian snipers were hell.  That German tank commander was lost though and need a good field of vision to find his way back to the front line lol.

That is what I was hoping! I will have to get a set. I do not like the look of the open pin track sets. The only open pin sets I have seen, that are hard to notice/see, are the original plastic tracks that come with the Stug/Panzer III and Panzer IV. Just couldn't see using them as extra armor if they are open.

No problem Rudy and Herman stock tracks are exactly 1 inch wide and the winterketten tracks are exactly 1 1/2 inches wide.

A club member here has the winter tracks on his long-barreled pnz III. Looks fantastic!

Im not sure if he's even battled with them yet.
