RE: HARVEST RACE MOVED TO MAY 18th
Talking about the death of Batman, I knew the local weather forcast was for scattered showers and T-storms, but they mentioned nothing aboutit rainingbalsa showers. Ken Ericson and Tim tried to occupy the same airspace at the same time right at the start line on the flying start and the result was it rained balsa parts and pieces and covering for at least 2 minutes. I think I even saw an unidentified whole wing tumbling down in there somewhere!
Brad, are you jealous just because I cut and you didnt ? Hey, if there is only one thing I can do well, its cut a pole at the worse time possible. If anyone needs lessonson how to do that , Im here for you!!
Good race guys.
John

John: Tim was my caller for that A Main heat. I told him before
we flew that both you and Greg were faster than me, my plan was
to just stay clean, on the same lap as you guys, wait for one
of you to cut and then cruise into 2nd. Knew that you guys would be fighting
it out and the pressure would be on both of you. It worked.

RE: HARVEST RACE MOVED TO MAY 18th
We really appreciate all of the pilots coming into town from various places. As always it was great fun for us NARCA folks as well as the visitors. I have to say I really appreciate thee non-pylon NARCA members that supported the race by working the stopwatches, turn marshal positions, cooking, setting up and tearing down. They are a great bunch of volunteers. It allowed the pilots to concentrate on racing and calling for other pilots. I think everyone there had a great time whether they flew or not!

RE: HARVEST RACE MOVED TO MAY 18th
I was wondering if anybody would pick up on my absence
The 18th just wasn't practical for me. It fell smack-dab in the middle of 3 weeks of 3+ days of business travel per week.
I'm disappointed Icouldn't come race, it looks like it was a grand time. Looking forward to the next race.
