San Diego Battle Day
Thanks for all who showed! Great day of battle, maybe next time (2 months from now) a afternoon/night battle? Just a thought, cause it's gonna become really hot soon.
Took out the wifes new tank. She was asking yesterday, so, who's side would this tank belong? American or German.... I thought about it for a few seconds... Hollywood, CA... A world all it's own, filled with freaks, weirdos and prima-donna stars....
Still not quite done with it yet.... Still fine-tuning it (HLconversions with tamiya electronics) and working out the bugs....

Some good looking tanks there and it looks like you all had fun. Btw, I think the wifes tank is awesome! Who cares if its not historically correct, it rocks. If I painted a tank up for my wife like that it might even get here into tanking lol.

The correct answer to her question is, whatever side you want it to be on. Great paint job and I like the flower! Is that a Hetzer I see in the background?

RE: San Diego Battle Day
Thanx for the kudos.. and yes, no historical accuracy on the pershing... (figured on giving patton commander something to laugh at or dream up....) At least Igot rid of the ammo/fuel cans that were... um... securely secured (wit MEK) .. but a fun time turning the tank into something different. I can't do the flower as she does... that was her handiwork and from a distance.. it really looks like a star...lol.
The background yes is a hetzer.. well something very close. I couldn't build the thing in a real 1/16 scale.. I had to take some liberties inorder to fit a HL gearbox, electronics, speaker and a regular 7.2v battery pack. Length and width are a bit longer, flat bottom, not angled, width is a bit wider.... but the drive unit is solid, a HL short shaft gearbox, HL panzer 3 sprocket with HL panzer 3 tracks... It had Tamiya electronics (swapped those to the pershing) and I'm waiting for a clark board to try out. Very fun lil tank, scratch built and it took some time to work out the bugs.... I'll post pics/comment on the clark board when Iget it installed and running.

RE: San Diego Battle Day
Couldn't find a cheaper 1/18 female...lol.... I found this 1/18 granny... but my wife practically whapped me one when she saw it... I also didn't want to put together a custom figure, it was a bit too expensive for just 1 figure and my budget. Now that I think it through... there's always the possibility of a "Guards" platoon of beauties... so, um... for now, she's my pershing tank commander....
