Futaba failsafe help
Im having a hard time setting failsafe on my older futaba 9c
I have the 2.4 tm-7 module.
The radio has to be run in ppm mode, and when that is done the failsafe option goes away in the transmitter.
Can someone give me a step by step instruction how to correctly do this?
Thanks in advance.

Can't remember on the older 9C, but I think in PPM mode there is no fail safe, you have to set the fail safe on the ECU of the turbine.

RE: Futaba failsafe help
I use the XPS module system with a 9C. To set fail-safe you have to use ppm + The JeTCat turbine (manual) set-up + the receiver channel set-up. Don't follow the JR set fail-safe steps. Worked fine but required a bit of time to work out. Sorry I can't be specific for your issues.

I don't use my 9C anymore but do have a TM-8 module for it and used the instructions that came with the 2.4 module. If you no longer have the instructions then you can try this link.

Go to the JetCat manual and set up as per the instructions for the JR Tx, but substitute 50% for the 75% value on the JR, some Futaba Tx's also need the throttle channel reversed to work correctly.
Hope that helps.

RE: Futaba failsafe help
Thanks guys,
I figured it out.
With your atv set at 100% in transmitter, throttle and trim at low turn on transmitter while holding the button on back of module. This will set the failsafe to low throttle and trim on the transmitter.
Now, change your atv in your transmitter to 50% and re learn the ecu.
This worked for me. Not sure if it is correct, but I tested with the gsu, and ran the turbine and it worked.

That was my problem the whole time, I was using 75% when setting and re learning the ecu. It didn't work, had to drop it to 50%
