Thanks Mustang - I really would've loved to get a picture of the Vulcan coming the other way, head on, but it wasn't safe enough to get closer to us.

David - great set of pictures - love the first one. I have a similar picture (but the Hawk is going the other way) that I took of Ali's Indonesian Hawk on my 'office' wall. That's a great colour scheme.

Looking through old stuff I found a few pics which I'm sure I've never posted on here - if I have, apologies.

Neil

Hi All,

Couldn't resist posting these pictures of the P-40E that I built some years ago. I sold the model to Ali Machinchy to add finances to the 1DX fund.

Neil,

That P-40 is awesome!

That has to be one of the best models of a P-40 I have ever seen. I keep working and someday I hope to have those type of skills.

I'll post some of my work here soon. However, your work puts me to shame.

Thanks for posting!

Here is a Cox/Pica T-28. I added a cockpit and operating beacons. Moki 1.80 for power.

Ian, perfect little photographic time machine! And, Neil, great as always. You know me, I love the WWI stuff so I'm bound to like that shot of the Camel on the DVII's tail. Good focus effect.

Cheers David, I'm pleased with our first attempt at air to air photography. On a day last weekend we strapped a video camera to my model for some footage, then had the camera on another model for some air to air stuff. The video will be uploaded soon but I'll put it in the Handley Page thread since its not really relevant here. Those pics aren't photoshopped apart from the sepia bit, I like to imagine a brave press photographer hanging out of a Tiger Moth or similar took them for publicity back in the day!!!!

Looking at the size of the pilot, that is a very large airplane....is the pilot the correct size for the plane? I would expect the pilot to fill more of the cockpit area....to me, it looks like he is in a walk-in closet.......that is just my opinion...I know nothing about the plane...cordially, Sebo

It is an odd looking plane. Do a google search for Tunnan. The gentleman that scratch built this model is Mike Selby. I highly doubt he would put a non-scale pilot in it.

Wow! I've never seen a model of the de Havilland Express before...and that one's a beauty! And Neil's photo shows it off beautifully as well. Thanks for posting that, Neil. Do you happen to have any information on it?

I handed my camera off to a friend while I was flying my Decathlon and here's one of the pics that was taken.
I know that it's not super sharp focused or very close for that matter, but the unusual clouds today gives this pic an air to air look.
It's not on a quality level as most of the pics posted here, but I thought that it looked pretty cool.

Cheers!

David, that D-18 photo is awesome !! would you know what engines are on this airplane ? or is it electric ? I am planning on building another one one day, but engines sticking out of the cowls have always held me back ..
