RE: RAFMAA WYTON MAY 25/26
Recovering from he first day. Amazingly chilled days flying, lots of models flown, just no feeling of being busy. I even managed part of a couple of flights on my own! Son William drove the camera for flights of my UF, GJC Mig 15 and Spark. Been a while since the wiggly amps came out, was good to blow the cob-webs out of it...fast!
(Well I would post pictures...People will just stop bothering with posts soon...chocolate tea pot)

Seeing pictures seem to be working. The two day meeting hosted by the RAFMAA was great! Big thank you to everyone involved, Dempster and Simon on the RAF side and Roger, Steve and Dick on the JMA.
Sunny, stack of flying, good company...someone said we just missed an on site Deli!
Saturday we had to fly across the main runway using part of the peri track, today we had the HUGE main runway and most people managed to land on it!
If only every weekend was like this!

Just made it home from another great weekend - thanks to the organisers. Sunday was so much better, flying of the run way instead of a peri-track

As usual, a big thanks to the JMA committee for arranging the weekend but also to RAFMAA for inviting us to gatecrash their event.
Also a personal thank you to Steve Johnson and Keith Whiddet who fixed my nosewheel on sunday. The pair of you make a great pairing.
As far as the flying in concerned, the highlight for me was the Boulton Paul P111 of John Wright with Dave Wilde at the controls. Its so ugly, its beautiful! I believe all the LMA exemption flights were completed on Sunday which is great news.

What a great day sunday was, at last it was warm enough to take off my sweater and with sun and light winds it was almost summer! Great place to fly and judging by the numbers who attended accessible for most. Many thanks to RAAFMA and JMA. Thanks Geoff for the kind remarks yes we had 4 flights with the P111 that now gives us our required total number and the hour flown before it can be flown in public. We came home with no repairs but little Kero left.

What a great venue, many thanks to the "USUAL SUSPECTS" (JMA Special forces) for landing and organising another great meeting!
Thanks Steve for the use of your workshop!
Great to see everyone as usual, the Banter is something not to be missed!
Unfortunately I don't think there was a camera lense on site, big enough to get a shot of Jamie's bottom lip after he Chrisend his wing tips!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL [:@][:'(]
Jason was nearly in the same situation, but had Lady Luck on his side!
Saw a few flame outs (it must be down to the shock of Good Weather), Dick you have amazingly quick reactions (I think they are called ring reactions), after a flame out on a low slow pass, the gear came down in a nano second!!!!!
Once again, thanks for a great weekend!

Sunday dawned bright and sunny (I thought I was in a different country!) This was my first outing since my accident and what a pleasure it was.
From the first flight I don’t think the sky was empty, amazing number of flights!
The quality of models and standard of flying is so high these days; the pictures don’t truly do it justice.
I would like to thank everyone for their words of encouragement and of also the piss taking! (Jason!!!) Always good fun and it made my day. (Sorry I could not join you in the bar!) []
Congrats to Joe who had a successful days flying including a test flight of his winter project...the Vampire, looked great.
Thanks to Martin Painter for the picture posted above (I will add it to my ‘scary’ collection).
A special thanks for Gordon Smith who went miles out of his way to collect me and delivery me to the flight line, thanks mate.
Great day, great company, many thanks to the JMA for organising the event.
